A POST THANKSGIVING BLOG!
Thanksgiving Day was wonderful! I spent it with great friends and of course, some amazing Arabian horses at dusk on the ranch. We were "Misfits": Single people with no place to go. But we shared a passion for good food, great conversation, living well and yes, Arabian horses. We were raconteurs, all of us--even "Yours Truly" (hard to imagine, I know, but true). We grilled steaks and boiled crab legs before ending the day with tea and pumpkin pie. I was the luckiest person of all to have been among remarkable people who care and love and respect one another. I was in exceptional company. We had a wonderful day and it was well lived!-
Post Script Thanksgiving: For Friendship!-
Also, thanks to Blog bud Leah at South Breeze Farm. Her Giving Thanks Challenge led 50 of we bloggers us to sign up and I was the 29th person to join a great group.

It doesn't have to be traditional to be excellent!
Although I'm too far north to have American thanksgiving, at least I still get to watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special.
Sounds pretty darn perfect to me. That horse is a beauty!
Wow, we didn't have any horses to enjoy and things are always kind of gray around here this time of the year, but we had fun--two couples, one child and five singles!
Protege: Yes, it was wonderful and very relaxing. The horses were beautiful! :D
Martini: I look for Carlie to have a DMC 12 in his future! :D
Hilary: I think Arabians are very special too! :D
Sage: Sorry to hear about the overcast conditions but heartened that you had fun too! :D
Happy Thanksgiving Michael,
I hope you have a great Holiday Season.

Arabians are such beautiful horses. We used to have an Arabian horse show here and it was always fun to see them.

misfits or otherwise.
Seraphine: We all enjoyed one another. They are such great friends! :D)
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Jean-Luc Picard: It was a Great Day!
Michael,
So glad you had a great day on Thanksgiving.
"Misfits", yes I understand also. My "Misfit" new friend and I spent Thanksgiving together and he did the cooking! Horray! Of course I am most definitely one of the "Misfits" also, oh yes indeed...but I don't really care about that much anymore. It used to bother me but not so much now.
When I read this post and saw the word "Misfits" I immediately thought of the movie "The Misfits" with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. It was the last movie either of them made. I googled it and found out that Gable had a heart attack just 3 days after the movie was completed and then died 5 days later. 10 days after the movie was finished! Marilyn died less than a year later of her drug overdoes. So sad.
Remember the mustang horses in the movie? I'm a wild mustang "roaming" the lands...;o)I think I might try and see if they have this movie at blockbusters and rent if if they do.
Blessings,
Rhiannon
Hi, Rhi: I covered the film in a mention on my "NEWS" page (which is part of my full website). A salute to a majority of the films I covered for 40 months during my now-defunct feature: "Friday Movie Suggestion Night" is available at:

I chose Eva Cassidy's brief video performance of "Over the Rainbow" on December 18, 2008 as my Goodbye to the series at:

A friend of mine has a Mustang at his ranch in Phoenix who is quite remarkable. I would like to see "The Misfits" again, as it is poignant. An entire book about the filming and crew was published recently, and I visited Marilyn's final resting place in 2007 at Pierce Brothers Westwood Memorial Park in L.A. Thanks for the suggestion. I think it is a great one, and quite a fitting memorial to Marilyn, who was not fully appreciated for the actress she was! lol, Rhi! :)
