COMING UP MONDAY...
(Above): United States' pilot Bree Schaaf and Emily Azevedo nine months ago in the Women's World Cup Bobsled Race at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah. They finished in fifth place. My money says look for them in Vancouver in 2010. They are awesome. More tomorrow...

Bobsledding is a very fascinating sport. It takes skill but also courage. "Cool Runnings", about the Bobsled team from Jamaica is one of my favourite movies.;)
Have a great Sunday,
xo
After my work with a brain injury charity, I'm certainly glad to see they are wearing helmets.
Protege: I loved that film too! Quite an emotional ending. It is a passionate sport that requires teamwork and strategy. I have always enjoyed it from the time I was a kid!!:)
Have a Great Sunday as well!!
xo
Ellee: lol for all the fine work you do for so many charitable causes. I have read your Blog for so long now, that I know it comes from your heart.
To your point, absolutely! With Bobsled, at least, one has the frame and body around them, albeit, very light materials. With Skeleton, one is too vulnerable lying down on ones chest, face forward. Obviously, there is more velocity with Bobsled. But I would relish it.
Cool Runnings is such a good movie--I look forward to your post and hope to one day take a bobsled ride.
Sage: It's on my To Do List as well! :)
Michael: Emily Azevedo's mother here.....thanks for the compliment.
These girls work 12 months a year
toward there goal of achieving
excellence. Bree was previously a
skeleton athlete, and Emily is in
her fourth year on the team. What
an amazing experience it has been...
You can watch delayed video of
each race at www.fibt.com. Women's
bobsled will race next 12/5. Em/Mom
Ms. Azevedo: It is a genuine joy to hear from you! I have posted a new video for Monday. The girls are such an inspiration to all of us, and perhaps we could talk about an upcoming appearance on my feature "The Interview". Please email me at: michaelmanninginfo@gmail.com.
Thanks for commenting and sharing information about the delayed video feed.
With Sincere Congratulations!
Michael
