THE FOCUS OF SEPTEMBER!

Kids have always figured prominently in my life. Back when I was in broadcast management, I directed that public service air time be devoted to Women & Children's Health issues. Kids ...of all ages... never fail to inspire and amaze me. They are wise and resilient and have so much to teach us. It seems as if there isn't a week that passes by where some kid crosses my path and makes me laugh about something I had forgotten or maybe never even considered. This is a special month. I sincerely hope that I bring Honor to the children who need us most right now, and if in some small way, someone happens upon this Blog Post, may they know that September belongs to the children who are depending on us to help them with everything we've got.

I got you back on my blogroll! :)
I hate to even think of children with cancer, so sad. I have a friend that lost her son at age 3 and it will always haunt her.
I am so blessed to have Madison even though she does have a heart defect she doesn't let it stop her. Kids are wonderfully resilient aren't they?
I'm taking her to see "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" this week-end!

Hey Michael,

I agree - that is why I love doing family shows - birthday parties and kid shows with my magic show.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Having a three year old and one that just turned five months keeps the house lively. It's much better being the grandparent than the parent, though.

Morning, Patti: I laugh when I look back to the first pictures you posted after she was born. I remember so many firsts: teeth coming in, having enough hair to wear a bow (the day she wouldn't let you give her pigtails LOL!), the Mary Jane shoe post. Now, she is growing so fast. She's a cutie! :D) Love and Hugs to you, my friend!!!

Beautifully put.
I have no children of my own, but my sister is expecting her third child. Every child is an incredible treasure and a proof that magic does exist.
Have a nice weekend.;)

Jean Luc-Picard: Yes. More than two decades has passed since President Nixon declared a "War on Cancer". Sometimes I ask myself, 'Have we made progress'. We have. But of course all of us worldwide want to see cures. That is my prayer. See you soon! :)

Children should be looking forward to long healthy lives. It is so sad to see young lives end with cancer. One of my close friends in school lost her younger sister to cancer when we were in middle school. It was hard to see her get so ill, and even harder to come to the realization that she would no longer be trying to follow us wherever we went. I hope they find some cures.

You are so right, kids are definitely an inspiration. Thanks for coming over to the Castle and meeting Marley. He has been keeping my life fun.

Sy: I do too. Believe me. There are many initiatives that have become senselessly bogged down by the FDA for years. If this grid lock could be dissolved, many new medications and therapies would be available. lol to you! :)

Lee Ann: Wow! It's been a long time, my friend. Very nice to see you back and even nicer to hear from you. Hope your weekend went well. See you soon!
