i can feel the momentum beginning to take hold. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for luck that everything falls in place for a successful (and fun) concert event.
It looks very beneficial.
You always are doing such good work and I wish you well in your new challenge.
Seraphine: What a kind message! I've never been told that, so it means very much to me. The momentum. Wow! That tells me you are seeing something objectively that we cannot (at the moment), because we are subjective. But I assure you we are trying very hard with phone calls, constantly exchanging ideas, letters and reaching out. All it takes is that special someone to flip the switch. If you met Trevor you would not be able to stop smiling. And that keeps us focused. Thank you dear friend! :)
Captain: I believe this little boy deserves a cancer-free life. An event like this one only brings forth positive vibrations and reaffirms the goodness in everyone. We are Determined and moved by Trevor. He is such a positive little boy and such a Joy! :)
Sage: I appreciate those kind words! One thing I can tell you is that this is the type of project that gets me focused on what really matters. We three appreciate your good wishes! :)
What an amazing and inspirational idea for Trevor and I am sure you will find all your needs met. I wish I had connections in that area, but if you decide to do anything in AZ---let me know. However, we'll continue to keep Trevor in our good thoughts and help in what small way we can.
It's great to see his happy face in each post-THAT is inspirational!
SnoopMurph: lol to you for writing! I welcome any local initiatives from Phoenix, Arizona. However...
One of the hardest lessons I have learned is that it is very, very difficult to rally people in one city, when the child you are seeking to help lives far away in another city. People are people, and in this regard, they want to "feel" a connection to the person we are seeking to help "up close and personal". I don't agree with this reality. To me, a sick child is a sick child no matter where they live geographically. But I have accepted the fact that it is emotionally more intelligent to refocus on the city where the child lives and rally their immediate community. These are the good and kind people who will respond positively and this is simply the best chance we have to make "A Concert for Trevor" a success.
For each of us who don't live in Midland, Texas there is Caringbridge, a special website created and maintained for children and their families who are coping with critical illness, treatment and recovery. The most IMMEDIATE way to share your love is to go to: www.caringbridge.org/visit/trevortredaway and leave a word of Love and Caring for Todd and Melinda, Trevor's parents. This means so much, and it's so easy!
For those in a position to send a donation, that address is on my BLOGS for Trevor and also on his website. Your heart is in the right place, Linda and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your good thoughts! :)
I hope and pray that everything falls in place SOON for Trevor's benefit! From our lips to God's ears....
Happy weekend, Michael :o)
Love and hugs,
Diane
Diane: Three things I can tell you with certainty.
1.) I am giving this my All.
2.) God is listening, yes.
3.) Miracles can & do come true!
Thank you, dear friend! I appreciate your visits, always.
Love & (((HUGS)))
Michael
I so admire how the names and faces of who you are championing for may change, but your willingness to fight for them does not. You're such an inspiration!
Hi, Janet: It's easy for me to help Trevor because I know him. Staging an event like this is not easy. It requires some lucky breaks and we are hoping for the ones that satisfy the basic Wish List. As my Aunt says: "An outstretched hand must be met by another". Well, our hands are outstretched and I am applying my efforts. Love and hugs for your kind words to me. I appreciate them very much! see you soon!!:D)
