INSPIRATION FOR THE SUMMER!
Gordon Lightfoot is my favorite songwriter. I had the pleasure of meeting him after a concert he performed at my Alma Mater and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. This 2004 video is short and optimistic--the perfect way to launch a new month.
With the advent May, LIFE beckons with many new opportunities. I made good on a promise to myself last Winter and visited Sedona, Arizona touring the mountain trails in a Jeep. Unlike Gordon, I currently have no "Inspiration Lady" in my life at the moment. However, I feel that this summer will be fun and exciting. Here's to the person who is the "Inspiration" in your life! May they be healthy, treat you well and be good for you! I'll be around to visit each of you. So, if you hear a knock at your door at 7 AM, start the coffee maker!
Michael
I am taking time to visit the 118 posts on my Blogroll as I do regularly. We all have busy schedules. However, I feel that I must "make the time" to visit those I care about. Looking forward to dropping by, if I haven't already! See you soon. :-)

yay, it's great to hear your shoulder is well-enough to go jeeping at sedona.
it's awesome pretty there.
You stay cool in that heat out there in the summer! A few suggestions for learning more about the area you're in: Richard Shelton, "Going back to Bisbee" and Craig Child's "Soul of Nowhere" and "The Secret of Water"
Seraphine: It's been a long road (no pun intended) to recovery. But I work at it 4 day a week. I was fine. We saw the Bear Ridge fire and the helicopter fire fighters used to dump 2,000 gallons of water per trip. There was a lightning strike the week before. HAVE A NICE WEEKEND! :)
Sage: I'll check that out this weekend as I live close to a bookstore! Mucho Thanks!
The Wreck of the Edmond Fitsgerald, is one of my favorite songs. He is so good.
If you come through Albuquerque by all means look me up.
Lucky you in meeting Gordon.
P M: Will do!
Jean-Luc Picard: There were about 5of us and I was so thrilled to meet him that I introduced myself twice. He joked and said "Haven't I met you before?" We laughed. It was great fun!
"Sundown" is still my all time favorite of Gordon's. :o)
Happy weekend, Michael. Have a great one, my friend.
Love and hugs,
Diane
Diane: lol for stopping by! Yes, "Sundown" is a "staple" at each of the 6 Lightfoot concerts I've attended. One thing about Gordon. He's never content to rest on past laurels. He is touring and writing and recording always. I'll be making rounds this weekend and will definitely stop by! Love and hugs back atcha! :-)
Michael,
Good to hear from you! How is it that you're not on Facebook yet, or are you and I just missed it??
Janet: It's so great to hear from you! I've avoided FB because I still believe BLOG is for the long-trot! :D)
Hi Michael,
Thanks for checking on me. It is good to hear from you. I have been a little busy lately. Working on a 50 year reunion for Southern High Class of 60. The weather has been wonderful here so I have also been planting a few flowers.
Barbara Ann
Barbara Ann: lol! It's always fun to check out the world through your camera lens! Nice to see you here! :D)
