MY LARRY KING STORY!

When I relocated to Arizona in December, 2007 one of the first Christmas cards I received at my new address came from a friend of mine who works on the staff of CNN's "Larry King Live" in Los Angeles. I suspect that the reason I was mailed a Christmas card from the show had to do with the fact that I had briefly negotiated to get a panel group on the show a year earlier to discuss pediatric cancer after I had befriended some special children in my life. Truthfully, the panel didn't have to include me, but I was told to be prepared. The appearance never materialized. Still, I must have made an impression because someone was given my name and address with instructions to send me a card! Well, this became funny for me because I can only guess that by the time the envelope was being addressed, an alert staffer must have thought someone had missed a salutation for Father Michael Manning. Father Mike is a Catholic priest who is a regular guest on "Larry King Live" when a newsworthy item involves a dialogue from a religious perspective as the topic of the evening. With this in mind, you can only guess what I found in my new mailbox. A nice hand-addressed envelope to: "Father Michael Manning". This led me to write a BLOG Post about the mishap with photos similar to the ones you see above dated December 28, 2007. Holy Toledo!

If you missed my poem for Valentine's Day it was posted here on February 13, 2009 as "An Early Valentine" (I just had to throw that in here)...

HEY, IT'S WEDNESDAY!

I remember the other time you posted about this. LOL! :o)
Hey Michael, I've got a music question for you - do you happen to know if Ricky Nelson sings backup vocals on Roy Orbison's "Only the Lonely"? I've got a pretty good ear for voices and I could swear that's Ricky Nelson but haven't been able to prove it one way or another.
If you're able to help me with this I'd sure appreciate it. It's driving me nuts, not knowing for sure! LOL!
Thanks in advance. :o)
Hope you're having a great week, my friend.
Love and hugs,
Diane
Diane: I don't think so. But I'll try and find out when I get a break in time here. You DO have a good ear (and a good memory)! And I still have the Larry King Holiday Card scotch taped to the back of my door. :D)
forgive me, michael, for i have sinned.
it sounds like a fun role-play situation.
^^
Seraphine: In lieu of Hail Mary's you are to blast your favorite rock and roll today for at least two hours while dancing wildly in your Converse basketball gym shoes! May I suggest "Touch of Grey" by The Grateful Dead? Domini-Domino. Amen!
I recall your mentioning Father Mike before! Your still MY favorite Michael Manning though!
Morning, Patti: You're still my favorite Monogram Queen too! MWAH!:)
