Last weekend was truly a "once in a lifetime" event. Hundreds gathered at the Santa Paula Airport in California to remember the beloved actor Steve McQueen. But we also welcomed home a very special lady: Barbara McQueen, Steve's widow and co-author of the book "Steve McQueen: The Last Mile" with Marshall Terrill. This was Barbara's first time back to the airport since Steve's untimely death in 1980. The entire two days was pure magic, and a handful of us spent quality time with Barbara--both together and one-on-one laughing and reminiscing. The friendships that were created at this event were powerful and I will to post more photos in the days ahead. Also, in the months ahead, I will have new updates on an exciting event with Barbara.

Just a short note to let you know that my computer hard drive crashed for a second time, so I have had limited access to my e-mails and have answered 70 of the 84 messages that I received since last weekend. Please be patient while warranty repairs are completed. See you soon!

Walker: I was going to say Barbie is a Joy, but she kept me in stitches with so much laughter. She was very complimentary too...which was mucho nice! ...I know what you're thinking Walker...and yeah, she's a dish! :D) OPA!
DJ Davy B: I'll be real honest with ya: I don't know what was worst. Owning a 1972 MGB GT or my old MAC. They had a lot in common. Each was extremely complicated, and neither one ever ran! :D) I sold them both.
Green Tea: I saw my first McQueen movie at age 9 ("The Great Escape") and my parents would drop me and a neighborhood buddy off to the movie theater where we saw "First-Run" McQueen films such as: "On Any Sunday", "The Getaway", "Junior Bonner", "The Towering Inferno", "Papillon" and "Bullitt". With "Bullitt", I was sitting in the front row; I was so riveted that I had my buddy call his mom (our ride for the day) and tell her we were staying to watch it again! Back then, you could get away with staying half a day in the theater! :D) lol!
Jean Luc: She was on Late Night with David Letterman last year and also in England on a television variety show being interviewed. She is a total sweetheart and I loved spending time with her, yes!
Oh, Diane! What a sweetie you are to rememebr my shoulder injury. We have just scheduled out 4 weeks of rehab twice a week and I am making measureable progress. But I cannot lift weights for a while. The computer is a new laptop under warranty and the hard drive could not have tanked at a worse time!
