A SPECIAL EVENT FOR TREVOR IN THE WORKS!

Trevor signing "I Love You" with sister Morgan
They say that "Every picture tells a story". You've heard that old saying and so have I. Well, if that's true, then one look at the T-Shirts in the photo above should give you a strong hint that I've been around! Yup! For 8 weeks this past summer, 3 year-old Trevor Tredaway and his 18 month-old sister Morgan became dear friends of mine, along with their parents Todd and Melinda. This incredible family traveled here to Scottsdale, Arizona from their home in Midland, Texas so that Trevor could receive alternative cancer treatments for an infiltrating Astrocytoma. Trevor will be starting a new clinical trial treatment soon and I encourage you to stop by his website for more details. But most importantly---please leave a positive message for Trevor on his Caringbridge website at:
-
In recent days, it has become clear to me that the term "Love In Action" needs to have a more Active than Passive meaning.

-
Music is a powerful, unifying force. With this in mind, what could be better than a dinner concert that celebrates Trevor's life while raising funds for his medical expenses? This comes at a time when his Mom and Dad really need to be free to focus their collective healing energy on Trevor's condition.
-
As we move ahead here in the Phoenix area on the event, I'll keep you updated. We feel that a realistic time table would be March, 2009. In the meantime, here's what Trevor, Morgan, Todd and Melinda need immediately:

  • Your Thoughts

  • Your Prayers

  • Your Peaceful and Positive Meditations

  • Your Good Vibes

  • Your Messages of Supportiveness on Trevor's Website

  • Your Shout-Outs to the Universe

  • Your Financial help in ANY denomination for Trevor's medical treatments (a special bank fund in Midland, Texas is listed on his Website).

-

All of this matters SO much! But it's time to get to work. Trevor needs us now, and we need Trevor. One look at his photos and you'll get a good sense of what a fun, loving, adorable and energetic little boy he really is. He is a Character who loves to make new friends, giggle and share Playtime with you right away!

-

As I used to say so often, "Film at 11".

With Love,

Michael

I can't do much, but I'll pray and I'll leave a comment on Trevor's Caring Bridge site.

When you get things organized I'd be glad to post about the fundraiser, Michael.

Happy Halloween!

Love and hugs,

Diane

This is one time I wish I had a band together again and was well rehearsed and ready! Sometimes having been there, done that isn't good enough in a case like this. I can and will work on the other things on this list however. Let me know of anything else too!

Happy Halloween to you also Michael! You came by just minutes before I posted my official Halloween post, lol!!

Seraphine: I woke up this morning thinking about "Playtime with Trevor". He is such an animated boy. When you appear in the door way, he forms an "Oh?" with his eyebrows raised high (as if it's Christmas morning) and stares at you as if to say "I'm so thrilled you're here. You Rock! And we're going to play! YAY!" Then he runs over to you with a big hug, takes your hand and says "Play with cars? Play with train?" He really regarded me like someone special and he makes you FEEL special immediately, as you become invited into his world. He is extraordinary and funny! To hear giggles of delight over my impersonations ...Oh, I could go on.

There is no one on this Blogroll who wouldn't meet Trevor and be touched! Thank You for YOUR touching comments.

Walker: I hope I can live up to your kind praise! The PT after work makes for long days. Just last night, I was inspitred by three businessmen who are in PT as well with their own workout programs. And we all decided that we have to be Supportive of our progress. I appreciate your supportiveness, Walker. You really understand the important challenge these children have before them. Each is very different and unique. And we will help them. Thanks my friend!

Ellee: I'm not good at accepting praise. But I acknowledge that I am Blessed to Love and to Feel what I do about the need to move ahead. You have to be willing to encounter even local resistance until you find the right persons who "get it". And what we have here is a local "grass roots" event that has so much potential. I will do my very best. We're just beginning. Thank you. I smiled when I read that you're impressed. I just feel "I'm the guy" to do this and I am stubborn enough to do it. Thanks Ellee. I know how much you do for your community and country to make life better for others and your words means a lot to me! :)

jean-luc picard: My friend, I am speechless as I sit here staring at your generous message. Thank You.

Yesterday, my guitar teacher and I met and he is on board with his band. They are currently in the recording studio cutting a CD. But he will try and recruit 5-10 more bands this week and I have contacted media outlets and a venue. Our target date is to organize this by December 15 if not sooner. I presume nothing until the night of the show. But I appreciate your Supportiveness!
