HELPING ELLEE WITH THE BEATLES!

January, 1969: Their Final Performance
atop The Apple Building in England
_
Good Morning, All! Please forgive my tardiness here. My schedule and priorities have changed with the intense strength building program I am doing 5 nights a week after work, and this just makes for very long days. Plus we are planning on making major changes to my full Website. So, it's been very demanding around here--but in a positive way. Here's what's up: Stop by and visit my dear friend Ellee Seymour in the United Kingdom today over at her Blogsite "Ellee Seymour-P.R.". She is trying to locate people in the United States who may have seen The Beatles in concert. The Boys toured here in the USA quite a bit between 1964 through 1966. Wow! I was but a tot when my oldest brother took in a Cincinnati concert with The Beatles. He recalls that the ballpark crowd at the now-demolished Crosley Field was screaming so loud, you couldn't hear one note from the band. People were fainting all over the place, and it was pretty much pandemonium. No wonder George Harrison was fed up with this scene and chose to quit touring in 1966. Understandable. But if you or someone you know actually saw The Fab Four, stop by Elle's Blogsite and see if you can lend her a hand. She is really a fun Blog-Bud and she always writes with such optimism about making our world a better place. See you on Thursday!

Neat Post Micheal.
I am a Beatles fan.
I often listen to the CD Help when I am working out.
Thanks again.
Glenn Bishop
Hi Michael, This is a wonderful post, many thanks. I'm doing this to help a blogging friend in Scotland. I hope he can make contact with your brother and follow up with account. Thank you again for your great support, especially when you are so busy, it is much appreciated. I will be happy to return the favour when you need help.
I wish Elle much luck.
My brother was a Beatle-nut. He even had the wig tee-hee!
You think it would be easy to find people who atteded a Beatles concert, wouldn't you?
I would have loved to have seen them live but what can I say some people are older than I am for a change LOL
oh gosh. I've never seen a Beatles concert... I was just a baby. (I love it that I get to say that) :)
I have been listening to the Beatles concert since I was born.
Glenn: I can hear that! They use Satellite Radio at PT.
Ellee: My brother is currently incommunicado (in the movie "10" the bartender says incommunicado is "about 5 miles due east then make a left turn"). But he would echo what I said about his experience. It was at Crosley Field in Cincinnati. The date would be easy to look up from that show. Glad to help such a cool Blog Bud!:)
Martini: Strangely enough, I never thought about that. I came along quite a bit later than my siblings. But I have no complaints!:)
Walker: Well, I consider it a Badge of Honor that my first grade teacher was so miffed at me for bringing two of my sister's 45 RPM records of The Beatles to class, she confiscated them and gave them back to me on the very last day of school. I'm still beaming over the incident--so I wasn't damaged by it! :D)
Suzanne: That makes two of us. Oh, wait...that's the title of a song from the "Let It Be" CD: "Two of Us". See? Aren't we clever? :D)!
Old Blue: I wouldn't be a bit surprised if The Beatles music could be heard up and down the hallways of the hospital where I was born! "Yeah, yeah, yeah"! :D)
Dating myself here, but I remember watching the Beatles on the Sullivan Show, and all the excitement that went with it.
PS I'm not a fan of Across the Universe. Am I the only one?
yay yay beatles.
YOU ROCK,
dari
Someone has posted a great comment recollecting her days at a Beatle concert in the UK. I'm hoping we will hear from someone in America too!!!
Thanks again Michael.
Angie: Well, you're the first to mention that here. But we all have our favs. I liked it myself! :)
Dari: And YOU rock too! :)
Ellee: Hang in, because many have been to the concerts here. I have looked through several coffee table books and these concerts were always held in large venues. Two in my hometown of Cincinnati--the aforementioned Crosley Field and another at a venue still standing--The Cincinnati Gardens. This was evidently a grueling time for The Boys who reportd that they saw only the interiors of their hotel rooms, the limo and the performance halls. Quite a drag on their spirits, I would say. But do hang in. Others will pick up. I'm certain! :D
they had so many good songs, i'm surprised theren't more good beatle covers today. every recording artist should have at least ONE beatle song in their repertoire!
I always admired their talent.., especially John Lennon
Lol!!
Seraphine: As a musician I can tell you it's all relative with the song and the singers vocal range and of course the arrangement. Crosby, Stills and Nash's version of Blackbird is among the best I've heard in concert twice. :) lol!
Maria: Yes, John was quite a treasure. I like all the guys--each have different personalities and gifts and humor. That John and George are gone still floors me.
