"THE KEY WORD HERE IS INDULGENT!"
As we wind down Summer, this short movie scene comes to mind. Remember, this was before self-indulgent cell phone users walked into every public dwelling having loud conversations and not caring who they annoyed. I dedicate this to all of them!

ha! excellent!
NYC has a train culture. on peak times( rush hour ) is considered sleep time for the hundreds of communers that train it in to and from NYC.
you will get your head bitten off for speaking too loud into your cell phone. i love it, because i find people forget their manners with their cells. i believe there are signs now too about it. like HUSH!. ha. i heart NY. we get such a bad rep. but we band together well.
Cell phone rudeness is everywhere. (Got stuck an hour in a doc's waiting room recently with a girl who had phone addiction. Can tell you about every one of her "skanky friends'" antics. LOL)
Loved the clip. Have been off line for a week due to Gustav, but we escaped without damage, thankfully.
Dari: In just the past 8 weeks alone, I have seen the worst manners that I have ever witnessed in this country. "What I wouldn't give right now for a big sock full of manure"! :D)
Angie: Between returning to Physical Therapy and catching up with all who are gracious like you that comment on my Blogsite, I too am a bit behind. But lol! That cracks me up when the egocentric guy is shocked that Allen has McLuhan in the lobby and flashes a look at horror to the camera. Diane Keaton did a great job of getting out of the frame. But I'll bet she was cracking up. This was good improv from Allen that could not have been totally rehearsed. :D)
i love that clip, michael!
"mozart, james joyce and sodomy"
is clever, but what really made me
laugh was the comment
"my whole fallacy is wrong"
Yeh ..good even though I think
Woody Allen is slimey.
I am just moving into the cell phone world.
Haven't given out my number to anyone but family and never have it on anyway.
I just don't want to be on a leash, but realize the need in this new world and I am trying to keep up.
I'm old Michael.. :D
Seraphine: I caught that too. The moron was played very well. "Granted...Las Stratda was a great fil. Great for it's use of negative imagery". And then there was the "Juliet of the Spirit" comment. But just focusing on Allen's facial expressions was hilarious. lol!!!:D
Green Tea: I hereby declare you as "Young". There. Done! lol!!! :D)
Brilliant, Michael. That's brilliant.
Bud: Allen seems too serious to me today. This was a period in his life that was far less complicated and where slapstick was in. Plus, I relate to his facial expressions and commentary!!!!:D
