A CLOSING CELEBRATION SALUTE TO YOU! (PART 6 OF 6)!
Simply Unforgettable...
If I had to pick a scene--just one scene--from a movie to watch that is so memorable to me, this one would be a true contender. It's worth a pause and for me, it sums up so much meaning to life. Thanks for all of your wonderful comments this past week. With work, strength conditioning and music lessons, it has been a little challenging to stay caught up with each of you who have commented. But, as Dudley says..."Keep a light in the window, I may be back!"
...from the Blake Edwards film,
"10"

Glenn: Man, I appreciate your friendship and your loyalty! I'll be over to see what you're up to!
Thanks for putting up with my political mania on my blog and still stopping by.
I go through this every 4 years.
But this is the first time in my life that I am truly frightened
of the outcome.
Meanwhile I miss Dudley Moore, he was such a great talent..
and thank you fro giving me some escapism from the campaigns..
In undergrad school I took "Music Appreciation." The instructor told the class that the only album ever stolen from the classroom was the soundtrack from "10" which featured Bo Derek, in all her beautiful glory, on the album cover. He admitted that he very much doubted it was stolen for music appreciation, but rather album cover appreciation.
Great choice for the finale!
Green Tea: I miss Dudley myself. Anyone who brings that much life to the screen leaves an hole in our hearts! This was of course actually Dudley playing the piano. He was Classically trained and just a Tremendous talent. God Bless Him!
3 Magpies: When I was on the air at a Classical musical station, I would back announce Ravel's Bolero with: "Visions of Bo Derek running in slow motion on a Malibu Beach towards Dudley Moore with her hair in corn rows.......music of course by Maurice Ravel and his shall we say now...immmortal......Bolero...also used by Director Blake Edwards in the movie "10". AND: I did so in a mocking snob-style voice. I cut to a commercial so I could laugh out loud in the broadcast booth. Never once got "called on the carpet" for that one either. Ah, what a life! :D)
I KNEW IT!!!!
I knew you would put this movie up because you are a BIG fan of Dudley Moores
