A NICE END TO "AUTOMOBILE WEEK"!

The famous "blown turn scene" that Steve left in the final cut of "Bullitt", May, 1968.
The less-than-famous re-creation from my Indie film "Turning Back Time" saluting Steve McQueen in November, 2003. Ford Motor Company executives in Dearborn, Michigan loved viewing this scene on a closed circuit feed. No, it isn't available, sorry!

Who knows what we'll focus on next week?
Enjoy You Weekend!

Living here in Michigan, you make some interesting points in your automobile week posts--I love McQueen's mustang.

Sage! Glad you liked it. It was rough and tumble at times but I surprised myself by selecting the topic unexpectedly and just "running with the ball"--so to speak.:)

Glenn: I know you appreciate fine cars too! THANKS!!!

Carolyn: Long story-short: I was asked by a former Philadelphia producer to film an "unscripted" 15 minute audition film on any subject I was passionate about. I drew up story boards and scouted my own locations for 2 weeks and we ended up filming for 8 hours in 34 degree weather in the Mid-West, battling the elements and even escaping a confrontation with a deranged man with a gun in his pocket. Post-production editing took twice as long for two reasons. The producer in Philly couldn't reach a decision. Secondly, I re-edited the film and approached Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. For legal reasons, Ford and I chose to limit the showing of the film to key management and engineering executives only on a closed circuit feed. When the producer was ultimately dismissed, I just decided not to include it on my Blog Page. But there are more projects in the future, so stay tuned and lol!:-)

Wow Michael, even the production of your audition film sounds like a McQueen adventure ;)

And I'm definately staying tuned in!
