TREVOR TREDAWAY IS HERE!
3 Year-Old Trevor Tredaway!
_
Remember my Blog Update (See my June 12th, 2008 BLOG) about 7 year-old Gunner Gillespie and the two NBC Television newscasts featuring an interview with his Mother Janna? Well, 3 year-old Trevor Tredaway (See my May 29, 2008 BLOG) has arrived safe and sound here in Phoenix with his parents Melinda and Todd and his little sister Morgan. Like Gunner, he too will begin his own promising alternative treatment for a cancerous infiltrating astrocytoma, which is a cancerous brain tumor.
Both of these children and their parents are incurring huge financial costs. I am healthy and I have been blessed with insurance. These children are not well and their treatments are shamefully not covered by any insurance company. On Tuesday, Trevor will start receiving supplements, and he will receive poly-mva through his I.V. He will have treatments 4 days per week, according to his Mother, Melinda. Treatments are prescribed 4 weeks at a time. So, after the first 4 weeks, doctors will re-evaluate and determine if Trevor needs an additional 4 weeks of treatment, similar to Gunners tenure. The first four weeks will cost the children's parents $31,000. If Trevor needs another four weeks of treatments, as Gunner has required, the parents are facing between $60,000 and $65,000 in medical bills. Please, go back and read the Blogs I have previously posted and if you are in a position to help financially, donations may be sent to:

marj: you are sweet, thank you! and these kids really find their way to your heart! can't wait to see them tomorrow!
weekend has been nicer now that i'm reunited with my acoustic guitar.

God bless 'em all. Suffering with cancer is bad enough when you HAVE insurance, much less when you don't.
There but for the grace of God go I.
Hope you enjoy your time with the kids and their families.
Love and big hugs for you and all of them,
Diane
Diane: (((HUGS))) because I know how much you love your Emmy! You understand. These precious children have a lot of people like you and me pulling for them. I believe they will WIN! lol!!!!!!!
My mother recently wrote to me and said about my Race for Life 'I can't think why you do it!'.
I raise money to help people like Trevor and Gunner. I raise money to research cancer to help those with it today and those going to have it tomorrow.
Michael, it is good of you to bring these stories to our attention. My prayers are with Trevor - what a pretty little man he is.
I was so glad to see your name on Michele's meet and greet today.

Thank you for bringing attention to this devastating disease. I have been following Gunner's story from the beginning. On my blog, you will find links to hundreds of children who just want to grow up. Sadly you will also find links of children that will never get the chance,
People do not realize that...
Everyday in America 9 children are diagnosed with a brain tumor!
Everyday in America 3 children die from a brain tumor!
We must find a cure and eridicate this monster. Thank you for all you are doing to bring attention to the most deadly of all childhood cancer, a brain tumor.

Dearest Michael,
The smiles you extend to these boys are priceless! You bring some well needed awareness, as well.
I guess i just wanted to say...
I THINK YOU ROCK!!

CQ: I spent the day with the Gillespies and will be meeting with the Tredaways shortly. Thank you for such a nice message. lol!
Kathy: Your words are of iron, my friend and I am certain others have read your information. I certainly learned something new from it. God Bless!
Dari: Well, I'm glad somebody thinks I rock! Musically, I am still a "work in progress". lol!
But seriously speasking, the real credit for all of this rests with my friends Shannon and Amy Aldridge who alerted me to the story of Gunner Gillespie shortly after they lost their sweet and precious daughter Sahara, who has touched my life and untold thousands of others like me from here to Asia.
Then my Pastor of 22 years who resides in Lubbock e-mailed me asking for prayers of a little boy named Trevor Tredaway who came their way by Nancy Cooper. Nancy is a friend of Melinda Tredaway, Trevor's Mom. So, my Pastor and his wife started a prayer chain that ran from Midland, Texas to China and back to the U.S. I was so deeply affected by the emotions I was experiencing fresh from Sahara's passing, that I was just feeling "overwhelmed" and drained. Over time, however, I relocated out here to start life over and address my own health issues and The Good Lord tapped me on the shoulder. HE is most definitely involved positively in using me as a servant of sorts to all three of the wonderful parents I have just mentioned here. That's the true story. I am merely a catalyst and conduit, that's all. But I appreciate your generous comments! I THINK YOU ROCK TOO, DARI!
A very commendable thing you've done on your blog today. We have 'free' health care in Canada, but it's no better since you have to experience absurdly long waiting times for any kind of treatment.
Martini: Yes, you are so right about our embarrassing health care crisis in the U.S. But most IMMEDIATELY, the children mentioned here and throughout the United States and their parents need to be completely focused on the process of receiving the best medical care, without having to bear the strain of how these stupendously high medical bills will be paid. And our bi-partisan Congress needs a wake up call to tackle this issue now! Thanks for sharing, Martini!
