ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM FILM...

To belabor the obvious, I struggled valiantly to somehow start this week with an appropriate post for this morning. I hope you all agree that I made a suitable choice that captures all that we yearn for in our personal dreams to the fulfillment of life. The Academy Award for Best Song of 1979 here, "It's Easy to Say", was written by Henry Mancini with Lyrics by Robert Wells and performed by Dudley Moore from my personal favorite among his movies, "10". (This is the musical version without lyrics). Best to all of you for the week.

And my special thoughts go out once more, to Susan of "A Thousand Wordsworth" as we keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers and remember dear Kayla. That's all I have for today.

My Sincere Best,

Michael

Kerry: Congratulations. You are the first blogger who has responded in 48 hours. In the history of this Blogsite, I have never experienced 0 comments as I did earlier. It was quite puzzling and I thank you for stepping forward with grace and love!

HAVE A GOOD WEEK, KERRY! :)

A very lovely thought, Michael. I have always loved Dudley's piano playing. He's greatly missed too.

Best to you for a peaceful week.

I'm not sure what my 'personal dreams' are anymore, since my wants seem to change with frequent irregularity.
Fulfillment is easier. I can see the glass half full and tell myself it's all I got, so it feels full to me.

The silence created by loosing a child is deafening.

I believe walker said it best. I played Ava Maria many times between yesterday and now ... there are no words.

"keep a light in the window, I may be back" - Oh My Michael - how fragile we all are.

I love the musical piece. Henry Mancini is a favorite composer of mine.

Peace to KAYLA MARIE ST. CYR and her family.

Lisa B: Sometimes people like me don't know always know what is best in terms of expressing the pain over the loss of someone like Kayla. Credit must be given to Walker, who has a heart of Gold. He followed Kayla's battle with cancer for years; I followed it with a heavy heart for about 18 months. Nice of you to visit Lisa. I'll drop by!

fleur de lisa:
He was one in a million. I often watch his old work with Peter Cook and it's nice to see someone else other than me who can't keep a straight face! I miss this great man who leaves a hole in our world just as Kayla's passing does and others we have come to know in some magical way.

Seraphine: Well, I for one--wish that ALL your reams come true, and then some! :)

Patti: Jana Gillespie will post later tonight about Gunner. I am also following a 2 year old little bot I had planned to blog about, but I just can't bring myself to do so this week. His name is Trevor Tredaway. 2 years old, Patti. Deni Bonet wrote a lovely song called "Life Isn't Fair" on her CD and it jibes to well with what is happening. Many say, "how can you blog about these children?" My answer is: "How can I avoid blogging about them?" Life is so fragile and most of us are blessed beyond belief. :)

jean-luc-picard: I am too. It hurts so many of us.

Walker: Well said, my friend. And a glass of baileys to deaden the pain of that silence, indeed.

dianne: Thank you for writing that, because I was truly perplexed about why I hadn't heard anything. It was all I could think of in creating that blog. I am thankful for life everyday when I awake and go to sleep. Yes, nothing is perfect for any of us regardless of wealth, health or anything else, but we are yet here and we can still make a difference. I appreciate your sweet comments, dianne!

Glenn: He was just incredible. I remember seeing the second to the last of his interviews and he said with great difficulty "At least we got '10" and "Arthur" made" (before he became ill). God Bless him.

Kat: You and me both, my dear friend!

Ole Blue the Heretic: Yes, Peace. Shalom. And God Bless her.

Just wanted to drop by for a moment to let you know I finally got the D out and running this weekend. I suppose I'll post something about it soon. I had a bit of trouble getting it going due to a bad battery which was only 8 months old.

Martini: Looking forward to that report!
