Oh.Mah.Gah. The Godfather is my favorite movie of all time. I can watch it anytime anywhere. I just love it.
"Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes".

Fishes don't have eyelids, so I don't think they sleep the same way humans do. They typically rest in some crevice, under a log or protected by coral.
Some kind of "fish" (like sharks) never sleep, because if they stop moving, they'll die.
So the term "sleeping with the fishes" is a bit misleading.
Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger.

Nice list of songs. When I was in college (the kind forty miles from the nearest known sin) I asked my room mate if he wanted to go see a movie, it was R rated. He said he had gone to see an R rated movie once and it was nothing but sex. I asked him what movie that was and he said, "The Godfather." (This was only one year after the release). I laughed my head, just couldn't help myself. He never talked to me the rest of the year. We had a real quiet dorm room from then on.

That should read "laughed my head off"

What, no "Woke Up This Morning" by A3? (otherwise known as The Sopranos theme?)

I'm sure these are all mafia approved, especially the Dean Martin and Sinatra tunes!

I love Count Basie. What a great list, Michael.

Carolyn: You talked me into it: How about: "I'VE GOT TO BE ME"---Sammy Davis, Jr. :D)!!!!!

Hey, Kerry! I Capeesh! :D)!!!!!

Glenn: What a memory I have! The last time I had dinner with my Idiot brother-in-law, we were in a nice restaurant when Frank came on over the piped in music. I remarked that I had just finished reading the Kitty Kelly book "His Way". It was so traumatizing to read about the violence. My indignant B-I-L said "Who cares! The man could sing. I don't care about his personal life". This led to a brief argument. But that's just me.

The music? Yeah, he had timing and that singing under the street lamp with a lit cigarette thing going for him. I'm just an idealist! So, even though I haven't played my vinyls, if Kate Hudson does come over, I'll have them out! :D)

Oh, Patti: You're killing me (sorry , wrong wording)---you're cracking me up! All that blood and guts! Really? I haven't been able to feature it on FMSN. But my Mom loves Speak Softly My Love with Andy Williams singing it! And Mo's not even Italian. What can I say? :)

Seraphine: You have to remembah somethin'. Guido dropped out in the 7th grade. But I'll show him this, really...I'll try! But don;t expect too much. :D)

p m: That IS hilarious! :D)

Natalie: They say--and to quote Dudley Moore from "10"--"of course we all know who 'THEY' are---that only about 5,000 Mafioso's exist anymore. Maybe some Goombah will print this out and circulate it? :D)

fleur de lisa: That's because you're cool! :D)

TO ALL MAFIOSO'S: Please take note guys, that I have these smiles that look like this: :D)---as in we like your music. Okay? Okay.(reaching for a paper towel to dab sweat from my forehead).

deana: (Love the photo!:D ) I was never a Soprano fan myself. So. I really couldn't tell you what would be Tony's song list. But I'll be by to visit YOUR site! :) Have a nice day!

A super list. The Godfather trilogy is one of my favourites. So many quotes!

jean-luc-picard: I do a decent impersonation of Michael Corleone dying with that hat on sitting in the back yard on a cheap folding chair. Maybe I should have it filmed and see if it creates a cult following? :D)
