THERE'S MORE?
A number of my friends keep up with my weekly exploits by clicking on my NEWS page at www.michaelmanning.tv. Basically, it serves as a teaser to certain (but not all) BLOGS which is why I have a BLOG page, as many of you do. Whenever I see helicopters I think of a time I was covering a car wreck. The helicopter came in. I was standing next to a big puddle. I BECAME the puddle! :)
Jessica: Not a good day! I worked the on-board camera and often we'd come upon a fatality. I'd have to zoom-in and watch my on-board monitor to make sure we didn't go out "Live" with footage of a victim. I was very lucky that we arrived just after rescue had recovered and left the scene. I saw enough. Believe me. Good experience all behind me.
Wow I have rode in a helicopter one time and it was pretty cool. I think that would be a very exciting job!
Patti: It was! But my commute was 88 miles per day on split-shifts. Still, I had a great pilot and take pride that we helped Police and Fire many times :)It was a great experience but time to move on.
