2007 REMEMBERED!

Sahara Aldridge with Rick Springfield
For 17 months, Rick Springfield and the news media brought literally thousands of us together and into our lives a sweet angel named Sahara Aldridge, 13, who battled a brainstem tumor and taught us by example, what Unconditional Faith, Hope, Love, Courage, Optimism and Humility really means. Sahara came to represent all that is Right and Good in this World. At Rick Springfield's "A Concert for Sahara" held on December 8, 2006 over 3,000 of us travelled to Cape Girardeau, Missouri from all over North America and Canada to physically show our Love and Supportiveness. We came to Love Sahara and her parents Amy & Shannon. Sahara passed away on November 5th, 2007 and our collective hearts just broke. Sahara could not have asked for a better Mother and Father. She was Blessed and in turn, we were Blessed as we came to know Sahara and her family including Grandma Dooley, Jennifer Hecht and Pamela. Sahara's beautiful spirit lives on. We Celebrate her life!

Michael, good evening from the tropics.

I was honored to be among your blogging friends in 2008. Sahara will continue to live on in our memories for a long time and she is will always be our heroine for all time. An angel with wings.

Congratulations on all that you've accomplished during this past year and may you continue to experience only the best of things in life during 2008.

Peace, hugs and blessings,
Enid

Happy New Year Michael! It's so nice to read someone being thankful for where they've been in the last year, rather than just hoping the next is better. You really have a great attitude!

Sounds like you had a good year--I wish I could leave the midwest for somewhere in Northern AZ--maybe way back in the AZ strip where I could write and hike and nap... Happy New Year!
