Katie: About the only Los Angeles spot I missed was The Observatory near The Greek Theatre where the knife scene was filmed. It was roped off due to an event.
Patti_Cake: I agree. Especially for an artist who worked so hard. Some dude pointed out the apartment where Jimmie lived off Sunset Boulevard, but I passed on it.
barngoddess: Some great out-take footage during "Rebel Without a Cause" where the actors first meet Jimmy!
Ellee: Seared in my memory is the intimate interview he did on The BBC. He ended it by standing barefoot in a stream where ashes were flushed of all the innocent victims of Aushwitz (including his family)by Nazis. His last sentence as I recall was, "It is only fitting that I stand here today in this spot". I never saw him again.
quin: Having visited her final resting place, I had similar thoughts. So tragic.
Heather: He was a man of Integrity and I wish I could have invited him over for coffee. I could listen to his observations all night. He was absolutely fascinating and a true Renaissance Man who is sorely missed!
