HAVE A GOOD SATURDAY ALL!

I can't imagine anyone eating a horse-- willingly or knowingly that is. It would be like eating a cat or a dog. I couldn't do it!
My state isn't listed here, but I'll check and see what gives here. Thanks Michael :)
horses....for human consumption? WTF???
NPR just had a news story on how we have a regular industry to raise and ship horses/horsemeat to France and other countries. Most people don't seem to know about it. Thanks for the info and the contact information!
Carolyn: You can also click on ASPCA at the right-hand margin of my BLOG under "COOL STUFF". Thanks for writing!
Webmiztris: Yeah, it's an awful situation but it can be fixed if enough people raise their voices. They are beautiful animals and I know several Bloggers who own and care for horses. lol!
PBS: lol! I missed that report! They do a great job on collecting and reporting information on "under the radar" stories. Maybe "60 Minutes" will pick it up. Hope so!!
I did a segment on a retirement home for horses in Florida. What an amazing place. Horses are beautiful creatures and deserve only the best!
All I can say Michael,is you have shown me through reading your blog the short time I have, what a really unique, talented and wonderful man you are~~ Now you have stolen my heart as well. ;) Thanks for caring about the horses.
BTW I just got home and I posted a pic of my 'soon to be' newest horse addition. I think you'll like him. :)
LisaBinDaCity: If we have a Bloggers party I hope I get to meet you. Anybody who loves movies and horses has to be cool!
Kelly: I was hoping you'd catch this. Glowing, Glowing with your compliments, my friend! Now if someone would hire me F/T I'd be outta here and back to normal operating mode. My late Cousin developed a love of animals from age 4 or 5 and she had 3 horses when she died. My Aunt gave her Western and English riding saddles to a precious 16 year old girl who shared the same passion for riding and caring for these beautiful animals, but her family couldn't afford it. She still chokes up talking about it.
In searching on this bill I came upon your website. So, what I'm wondering is if there is no horse slaughter than who is going to feed the horses that people can't afford to feed? Starvation is a painful thing. This is a classic case of how people in the US want it all. If people are against slaughter then they should never go to a horse race or watch one. Or watch a hunter/jumper event or any other horse event. People, at the end of a horses career, do not always do the right thing and retire their horse and feed it for life. That just doesn't happen all the time. So, my question is still, who is going to feed all the starving horses???
